David Paul Hilsheimer
David Paul Hilsheimer attended North Carolina Wesleyan University from 1963 to 1966 but dropped out to join the US Air Force, rather than be drafted. He served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Picking up a semester’s worth of college credits, including three while stationed in Saigon, Dave returned to NC Wesleyan in the fall of 1970 to finish his BA in History.

He received his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and worked as a claims manager and in corporate claims for two large midwestern insurance companies in Madison, WI. Retiring to Florida in 2006, Dave is clerk/administrator of the Sarasota friends meeting (Quakers) and is active in the local hospice and the American Civil Liberties Union.
