NC Wesleyan offers partnerships with employers and various businesses in the campus community and throughout eastern NC. These Employer Partnerships allow their employees will receive a special Wesleyan Scholarship. We have excellent pathways to finish your degree!

Employer Business Partners
If you are employed with one of the following businesses/organizations, you and your family are eligible for special scholarships and can enroll with NCWU at discounted tuition rates. See details for each employer’s partnership with NCWU below.
Capital Broadcasting Group
For Employees
North Carolina Wesleyan University provides Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) employees with professional development opportunities and reduced tuition for employees who want to further their education, whether it’s undergraduate or graduate work, or through a certificate program at NCWU. CBC employees also receive at least one professional development opportunity per year at no cost.
For NCWU Students
Wesleyan also has a partnership with Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) for students to gain practical, hands-on experience through job shadowing and internship opportunities. CBC is the parent company of the Durham Bulls, the Coastal Plain League and the Holly Springs Salamanders, among other companies. As part of this exclusive agreement, CBC provides opportunities for NCWU Sports Administration majors to learn the business of sports firsthand.
This partnership expands career development opportunities for NCWU students through learning about event venue management, ticket and sponsorship sales, enhancing the customer experience and the business aspects of running a successful sports venue. As part of NC Wesleyan’s Practical Skills Academy, a CBC baseball professional offers their expertise as part of a scheduled class or discussion panel event.

Business Partners Scholarship FAQs
What type of scholarships are offered to employees of partnering businesses?
Employees and their immediate families are offered the University Award of Enrollment which is a special scholarship designated for business partners of the university.
How much are the scholarships offered to employees of business partners ?
Certificate Programs:
Students will receive a Wesleyan scholarship in the amount of $500
- $250 applied in the first semester
- $250 applied in the final semester
Undergraduate Programs:
Students will receive a Wesleyan scholarship in the amount of $2000
- $1000 applied in the first semester
- $1000 applied in the final semester
Graduate Programs:
Students will receive a Wesleyan scholarship in the amount of $1000
- $500 applied in the first semester
- $500 applied in the final semester
What type of programs are available to me as an employee?
All employees of our approved Employer Partnerships with Businesses program have access to our traditional and accelerated certificates, undergraduate programs and our graduate programs.
