Make a Lasting Impact.
At North Carolina Wesleyan University, making an Endowed Gift is one of the most powerful ways to create a lasting impact. Endowment gifts support students, faculty, and programs, helping propel scholarships, initiatives, and programs forward for centuries to come. A minimum gift of $10,000 is required to start a named endowment account.
Depending upon what type of Annual Scholarship you wish to fund, contributions range from $1,000 to $10,000. Annual named scholarships must be renewed each year before May 31st in order to be listed in the University’s scholarship offerings list. 100% of any donation designated to the scholarship at the time of donation will be awarded as scholarships.
General Scholarship Funds
General Scholarship Funds, gifts of any amount, are always needed to help support the University’s general scholarship awards each year. 100% of any donation designated to the scholarship at the time of donation will be awarded as scholarships.
For more details, or to make a specific Endowment or Scholarship gift, contact the Office of Advancement at 252.985.5581.
Endowed & Donated Scholarships
North Carolina Wesleyan University is fortunate to offer scholarships through the generosity of various donors. Please consider helping the university grow our endowment which allows us to help more students financially as well as support faculty and staff with professional development.
NCWU donors support over 95% of our students with their educational goals. Without these scholarships, the majority of our students would not be able to attend NCWU.
Who determines which scholarship I support?
You decide which scholarship you want to support by selecting the general scholarship fund, or allowing us to choose an established underfunded endowed scholarship to support. All of these ways increase our opportunity to impact our students.
