The North Carolina Wesleyan University Alumni Association is here to keep alumni connected to each other and their alma mater.

This week on #BishopLoveStories, we have The Heiseys, Class of 2019! These newlyweds were student-athletes at Wesleyan and their journey started in 2015. Another pair of college sweethearts!💘Read about their love story from Hannah's point of view:"We met on the first day of classes in August 2015 at the annual cornhole tournament. We started dating not too long after, in October of that same year. Our first date, we went bowling, which led to a nearly standing weekly trip to the bowling center for college night, where we would pay $10 for wings and two hours of bowling. Christian played baseball and I played softball and ran cross country, and we spent many nights in the Hartness Center playing pool. We had many mornings getting breakfast together in the cafeteria, and we loved having Miss Mary make us some omelettes in the morning. Our senior year we got nominated for homecoming court, and while we didn’t win, we had a great time doing the spirit week and going out on the football field for the homecoming game. One of the cornerstones of our relationship is our love for the gym and exercise and we spent quite a few evenings in the Taylor Center lifting weights (or doing yoga during the offseason), and we also were some of the first to play the original NC Wesleyan Disc Golf course, and Hannah even went to College Disc Golf Nationals in 2023 while she was completing her PhD. We got engaged about six months after graduating and were married in April of 2024. We met many of our bridal party and some of our wedding guests at Wesleyan and are forever grateful for the time we had there. We would not have each other without our time at Wesleyan, and will forever be appreciative for the time we spent there." #WEsleyan #NCWUalumni ... See MoreSee Less

Another week, another #BishopLoveStories post! This week features The Brownes, whose relationship flourished at Wesleyan. Savannah, Class of '20, and Jaelyn, Class of '21, have been married for almost three years. 💙Check out their love story, from Savannah's point of view:"We met in high school. It all started in our senior English class, and Jaelyn finally asked me to be his girlfriend at our high school graduation in 2016! It's been history since.Jaelyn left in the fall to play football at NCWU while I did a year at Sampson Community College. I then transferred to Wesleyan in 2017, where we worked in the Hartness Center together! We also had a class together with Dr. Braxton - and you talk about competing for who would get the better grade! (Let the record show Savannah won). We also had the chance to work Summer Bridge together.Wesleyan has brought us some great memories from the homecoming bonfires to all the basketball games we attended. North Carolina Wesleyan made our relationship so much stronger and showed us that we could do anything. After I graduated in December 2020, Jaelyn asked me to be his wife! Jaelyn finished up his last semester at Wesleyan and graduated in May 2021. We tied the knot on 12-11-21. Now, I work in Admissions as a counselor at NCWU and Jaelyn works in the healthcare profession of optometry. North Carolina Wesleyan holds such a special place in our hearts. We are so grateful and blessed to be able to have Wesleyan as part of our journey."#WEsleyan #BishopLoveStories #ncwualumni ... See MoreSee Less

This #memorymonday, we are highlighting our ROTC program! NC Wesleyan's ROTC cadets can be seen as part of ceremonies for many campus events, doing training together, and of course, being commissioned as second lieutenants at graduation! 🌟Our ROTC program is a source of passion, career-building, and scholarship opportunities for our students, and we applaud those who commit to serve upon graduation. 🎖️#wesleyan #ncwualumni #ncwurotc #militaryfriendlycampus ...
