Shenita joined the Partnership in June 2024 as Administrative Assistant and has quickly distinguished herself as a dedicated and strategic asset to the organization. Headquartered in Rocky Mount, the Carolinas Gateway Partnership serves as the primary economic development organization for Edgecombe County, the City of Rocky Mount, and the Town of Tarboro.![]()

Before joining the Partnership, Shenita held the role of VA Billing & Collections Specialist at Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC), and has served in a range of administrative roles across the Rocky Mount region. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from NC Wesleyan University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.![]()

“Since coming on board, Shenita has demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and professionalism,” said Robert Pike, President & CEO of the Carolinas Gateway Partnership. “In her new role, she will play a vital part in aligning our daily operations with the mission, vision, and long-term goals of the Partnership.”![]()

As Director of Operations, Shenita will work closely with executive leadership to plan and implement multi-year strategic initiatives that support the region’s continued economic growth. She will also oversee administrative and accounting operations to ensure organizational efficiency and accountability.![]()
