The Shelton Challenge is a six-day residential leadership camp designed for high school students (rising 9th grade through graduating seniors). Participants develop leadership skills through hands-on activities, team-building exercises, service projects, and ropes courses, with a focus on ethics, interpersonal skills, and goal setting.

Location: North Carolina Wesleyan University
Who can attend: High school students (GPA 3.0+)
Cost: $500 (includes lodging, meals, and program activities)
Registration Deadline: July 19, 2026
Participants who complete the program and enroll at NCWU may be eligible for a renewable $1,000 scholarship.
