Calling all actors, friends and lovers of Broadway!

Come to a free “reading” of a new musical called Carving the Rock – an odyssey with Jesus’ best friend.  The reading will be in Minges Auditorium in the Dunn Center at NC Wesleyan University, Sunday, October 18th, at 3:00 PM.

Carving was written by two men named Scott Wilkinson!  One is a music major graduate of NCWU (1974) and retired United Methodist clergy.  The other is a graduate of Berkley School of Music in New York, with a masters in composition and is a retired eye surgeon.  Many of the songs have been prerecorded by Broadway actors, these will be played at the appropriate times in the reading.  All other lyrics and dialogue will be read live by volunteer actors.

Everyone in attendance will be encouraged to fill out evaluations, which will help the authors as they prepare Carving for its journey to NYC!  Hor d’oeurves and drinks will be available after the performance.  Park in the south parking lot and enter through the Mims Gallery or the main entrance.  The reading will last approximately two hours.
