Wesleyan Society members are encouraged to join us for an evening with the Beatles Tribute Band, “1964- The Tribute” as they take the stage in the Dunn Center. Special event includes a Christmas Social before the concert so come early and enjoy the festivities.

For those that never saw The Beatles LIVE and always wanted to know what it must have been like…this is as close as anyone could possibly get to…FEELING the MAGIC! For over 40 years, “1964- The Tribute” has thrilled audiences with what is considered to be the most authentic and endearing tribute to The Beatles. This has been accomplished by a  steady and  consistent cast of talented professional musicians, who painstakingly recreate the look, feel and note for note sound of an actual LIVE Beatles performance.

Rocky Mount Academy’s Exceptional Eagles invite the community to celebrate the joy of the season with their upcoming production and adaptation of A Charlie Brown Christmas on Thursday, December 18 at 6:00 PM at The Dunn Center.

Since 2021, the Exceptional Eagles have brought audiences four heartfelt and inspiring performances. A Charlie Brown Christmas marks their fifth production—a beloved holiday classic sure to fill hearts with laughter, music, and the spirit of the season. “This performance is more than a play. It’s a celebration of talent, determination, and the beauty of a truly inclusive community.” Join us for an evening of holiday cheer, Eagle pride, and a reminder of the simple joys that make the season bright.

The Exceptional Children’s program at Rocky Mount Academy serves students ages 5–21 with a wide range of special needs. Currently, 25 students are enrolled in the program, where inclusion is at the heart of every school day. Student interns work alongside the Exceptional Eagles daily, fostering friendships, building skills, and creating a learning environment that truly reflects “INCLUSION at its finest.”

Information about Rise Against Hunger
Rise Against Hunger is an international nonprofit that works in countries worldwide to fight hunger, focusing on communities with high rates of food insecurity. The organization provides meals and supports sustainable solutions to end hunger. On December 18th, Rocky Mount Academy students will take part by packing 20,000 meals to help those in need.  Donations made at the doors the evening of RMA’s version of Charlie Brown Christmas will help support this Rise Against Hunger event.

Ali Siddiq is a stand-up comedian and public speaker out of Houston, TX. In 2024, Vulture called him stand-up comedy’s most prolific storyteller. Ali’s unique style of stand-up originated behind the walls of incarceration, an incubator for interesting experiences and good stories.

A North Carolina native, Chandler James is a Nashville recording artist determined to remember his roots. Inspired by Chris Stapleton and Brent Cobb, Chandler James Music blends outlaw, classic country with hints of southern rock and blues. He released his debut EP in 2020, followed by a string of singles, including the recent release of “Can’t Blame it on the Truck.” Chandler James and the Banned has put on countless performances, whether it be on a stage opening for Tyler Farr at the 2023 Nashville Blooming Festival, gigging on Broadway, playing with his band at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, or at home for an audience of one- his Australian/Border Collie mix, Emmy. Chandler’s music brings people together, whether through his humor or his ability to touch the audience’s hearts with music that says the unspoken. Chandler James currently holds the title of the inaugural Got to be NC Ag Star. He splits time between touring his home state, advocating for North Carolina agriculture and local products, and embracing Music City, Nashville, Tennessee.

The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? are proud to present their new improv tour: WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY?

WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? is 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions, leaving  you gasping with the very witty scenes they invent before your eyes. Audience participation is key to the show so bring your suggestions and you might be asked to join the cast onstage! WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? showcases some of the improv games made famous on the long-running TV show as well as some exciting new ones, featuring musical direction by Laura Hall. All ages are welcomed, but please note that some “PG-13” language will be used during the performance.
