Dr. Simpson is Ordained in the United Methodist Church, serving as a pastor for thirty-three years in the North Carolina Conference. He teaches in the Religion Department, serves as the University Chaplain and is the Head Coach of the Women’s Lacrosse Team at NC Wesleyan.  Dr. Simpson is the author of "Who Moved the Table" that explores the spiritual significance and format of the Eucharist in Christian life, discussing how this central sacramental meal shapes Christian life.
