Dr. Oscar Rodriguez

Dean of Traditional Enrollment

From Clinton, NC, Dr. Rod brings over 17 years of experience in educational administration, admissions, advising, student engagement, transcript evaluation, and residency processes. His bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, combined with his passion for diversity and inclusion, makes him a champion for fostering a welcoming and supportive higher education environment.

Dr. Rodriguez’s educational journey began at Sampson Community College, where he earned his Associate in Arts degree. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Business Management and Organizational Development from Mount Olive College. He holds a Master of Arts in Career and Vocational Education from the University of South Florida, an Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University.

Dr. Rod spent 22 years in Puerto Rico, where he was born and raised, before coming to the States. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Rod is an avid handyman, traveler, and lover of Latin cuisine. Deeply involved in community service, he has served on numerous boards supporting violence prevention and women’s and children’s advocacy.

In addition to leading our traditional enrollment initiatives, Dr. Rod serves as a valued member of the President’s Administrative Team.
