Amanda Snow

International Admissions Counselor & Designated School Official (DSO)

Amanda holds a BS in Multidisciplinary Studies from Southeastern University and has served internationally as a missionary and peer mentor. She also has experience in administrative leadership roles and has served as a mentor to young adult missionaries. She comes to us most recently from Southside Academy where she served as a teacher. Amanda has a heart for young people and is excited about serving our students! Amanda and her family make their home in Rocky Mount.

 


Why did you choose to work at NCWU?
I chose to work at NCWU because I'm passionate about helping international students succeed-- not just academically, but personally and culturally. My background includes mentoring and walking alongside students from around the world, helping them adjust to new environments, navigate challenges, and feel a true sense of belonging. NCWU's diverse and welcoming community, along with its commitment to student growth, made it a natural fit. I'm honored to get to support students through their journey here and help them thrive in every aspect of their college experience.

What School(s) did you attend and degree(s) earned?
I studied at Southeastern University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Theology and a minor in Nonprofit Business.

What’s your Favorite eastern NC activity?
I enjoy eating BBQ from Smithfield's Chicken & BBQ, walking at Battle Park & going to church on Sunday mornings!

Ask questions! Stay organized with your paperwork! Get involved on campus!

What’s your Tip(s) for applicants?
Double-check your documents & make sure everything is correct. Check your email regularly.

Any other interesting fact about yourself?
I love recording music with my family. I lived in Nashville, TN for 4 years after graduating college & I'm in a few music videos!
