Experience the down-home wit and inspirational wisdom of John Floyd, a comedian, author, and proud native of Rocky Mount. A special guest appearance that night will be Nash Counties’ own, Chandler James who is making a wonderful name for himself outside of our region and in Nashville, TN. Chandler brings his song writing and vocal skills to the Dunn Center be the opening act for John Floyd, a clean comedian. This duo, who have strong local ties, will surely entertain attendees with fun, clean comedy and good country music.

About John Floyd

Launching his stand-up career at just eight years old during a school talent show, John Floyd has since taken the stage over 5,000 times, performing for more than two million people. His career has taken him to all 50 states, over two dozen countries, and given him the chance to work with Oscar, Emmy and Grammy Award winners. John says the men in his family have always been funny and great story tellers. He’s just the first one to do it on a stage instead of a front porch.

About Chandler James

Chandler has put on countless performances, whether it be on a stage opening for Tyler Farr at the Nashville Blooming Festival, gigging on Broadway, playing with his band at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, or at home for an audience of one- his Australian/Border Collie mix, Emmy. Chandler’s music brings people together, whether through his humor or his ability to touch the audience’s hearts with music that says the unspoken. Chandler James currently holds the title of the inaugural Got to be NC Ag Star. He splits time between touring his home state, advocating for North Carolina agriculture and local products, and embracing Music City, Nashville, Tennessee. His latest appearances in TN include gigs at well known spots such as Luke Bryan’s Lower Roff, Jason Aldean’s, and Morgan Wallen’s This Bar and more.
