We host Admissions Open House events throughout the year. Below are upcoming dates.

When: Saturday, February 1, 2025

Registration for this event is currently OPEN. Register TODAY so we can plan for your visit!

Please be on time for your visit. Open House begins at 9 a.m. Should you arrive late, portions of your visit may have to be cut short. Check-in at The Dunn Center. We look forward to meeting you!

Is registration required for Open House Events?

Yes! We strongly encourage all students to register in advance so that we can personalize the experience for each student and send important details prior to the event date.

Who is eligible to attend Open House?

Open House events are intended for prospective high school students (grades 9 – 12) and their families. However, anyone can register to attend Open House, and we welcome all.

Is there a schedule available?

Open House begins at 9 a.m. However, a detailed schedule will be emailed to registrants at least 72 hours before the event. We strongly encourage that students arrive by 9 a.m. to ensure that they have the opportunity to make the most of the day.

Can I take a campus tour?

Yes! You will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of our beautiful campus, as well as have the opportunity to speak with faculty, staff, and current Students.

Will there be dining options available?

Absolutely! Complimentary lunch is served on campus in the Blue & Gold Dining Hall!

What should I wear during the event?

NCWU Open House takes place both inside and outside on campus. We recommend wearing comfortable, casual clothing and walking shoes.

Where can I park?

Visitors can park in The Dunn Center – South parking lot located beside the Dunn Center.

Do I have to stay the entire time?

It is not necessary to stay for the duration of the event. We recommend viewing the schedule and list of activities associated with Open House and planning your day accordingly so you can get the most out of your visit. While there are activities on campus until 1 p.m., it is strongly encouraged that you arrive by 9 a.m. to ensure you have the opportunity to make the most of your day.

Are there recommended hotels if we plan to stay the night?

There is a wide selection of places to stay in Rocky Mount. A list of hotels within five miles of NCWU’s campus can be located here.

We are bringing a large group of students to Open House. What should I do?

We encourage your students to register individually.

Bus parking is available at the South Parking Area in Dunn Center Parking lot. Buses will need to remain parked in the lot until it is time to pick the students up again.
