Alexia previously served as a School Social Worker in the Wake County Public Schools. She has experience in both counseling and accessibility services in the university setting, having previously served at NC Central and Winston-Salem State Universities. Alexia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University and a Master of Arts degree in Social Work from NC Central University.  She also holds a certification in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and is a licensed school social worker.
